Designing a promotional product, then bringing it to life in the workshop.

Solo design | manufactured in a team of 6

In response to an open brief, I designed a tyre lever for a local cycling brand. I challenged myself by incorporating a steel donor part for added strength and a second polymer injection for comfort.

Sketchwork to solve problems. At work on the milling machine. An array of prototypes from throughout the process. The finished mould, complete with inserts and donor parts. A final, dual-shot injection-moulded prototype tyre lever.

Our team worked together to manufacture a single injection mould. We used CNC routers and manual machinery to create two halves, ten inserts and plenty of donor parts, then injected them with LDPE.
